Brother Jordan Q. Smith is from Indianapolis, Indiana and is the youngest child of Dr. Shawn A. Smith (Alpha Chapter, Spring 1988) and Tabetha Walker. His two older sisters are Olivia and Maya Smith. Brother Smith has been training for leadership since the age of 14. During his years as a high school student, he was a member of the Indianapolis Kappa League guided by the Indianapolis Alumni Chapter. As a Kappa Leaguer, Brother Smith served as President and National Board Member. During his senior year, he received the Leon W. Steward Award for the most outstanding individual Kappa League participant. He is a current Second year Finance student at Indiana University in Kelley School of Business. 

Brother Smith is a Spring ’22 initiate of the Indiana University Chapter the Alpha of Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity, Inc. He currently serves as the Keeper of Records for the Alpha Chapter and Lt. Strategus of the North Central Province. He is also a Kappa Fellow of the 2022 Undergraduate Leadership Institute Kappa Klass. 

On campus, Brother Smith has been involved in various organizations. He is currently the Treasurer of the Black Student Union, an organization that has a mission to improve the quality of life for Black students on the Indiana University-Bloomington campus. Also, he is a Resident Assistant at Forest Quad where he works to create a welcoming community for all students on Indiana University’s campus. Brother Smith aspires to be hired by a big four firm following graduation. He will be working for PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) as a risk & regulation consulting intern this summer in Chicago. Brother Smith has an endless desire to grow as a leader and make a strong impact in the Fraternity on all levels.
